Student Choreographer's Showcase

Would your child or dance student like to grow and expand his/her dance vocabulary, artistic voice and knowledge?  The Dance Works 2022 Student Choreographer's Showcase will give them an opportunity to express their creativity into a dance piece preformed in a showcase. This experience will reveal what it takes to become a choreographer and decisions that are made throughout the creative process. 

Each student choreographer will receive a formal composition evaluation within 30 days of performance.
 

Student Choreographer’s must:

1) be between the ages of: 

18-20 years old for our Senior Student Choreographers

13-17 years old our Secondary Student Choreographers

8-11 years old for our Junior Student Choreographers

2) Secure your own space for rehearsals

3) Provide your own dancers, music, costumes, props (if any)

4) Adhere to all guidelines, deadlines and fees

5) Adhere to maximum length of piece for:

 Junior Choreographers no more than 2 min 

Secondary Choreographers no more than 3 min

Senior Student Choreographers no more than 5 min.

Choreographers are welcome to perform in their own piece
